About

Pascal Kennedy

Baritone

Pascal studied at the Royal Irish Academy of Music and continued his studies in London. Early career highlights include performing on the stage of the Abbey Theatre in Dublin as “The Ghost of Michael Furey” in Frank McGuinness’ stage adaptation of James Joyce’s The Dead and performing with the RTE National Symphony Orchestra in Bach’s Matthew Passion as “High Priest”. In London he performed the role of “Falke” in Opera Integra’s production of Die Fledermaus by Johann Strauss.

Due to health issues, Pascal took an extended break from singing during which time he started a small singing school in Ireland before Covid hit. He then moved abroad and continued teaching during those difficult years and also completed a Postgraduate certificate in Counseling skills from the University of Edinburgh to improve the support he could offer to students in one-to-one coachings.

He is delighted to be back performing in Ireland as a baritone, both as a recital artist and on stage and is looking forward to joining Irish National Opera for some upcoming performances as a member of the chorus.

Hello there!

I'm Pascal, I love sharing my passion and exploring music with others. It'd be a great pleasure to share my knowledge with you and continue learning together.

I hold a BA in Music Performance from the Royal Irish Academy of Music and I continued my studies in London with a teacher from the Royal College of Music. After that, I got a PG certificate in Counseling skills from the University of Edinburgh which I believe feeds into my lessons and I have an open and warm approach to learning.

I used to run a small singing school here in Ireland before Covid hit and continued teaching online during those difficult years while living abroad.
I have a particular interest in classical singing and folk songs and love a good ol' fashioned trad session.

My singing journey has taken me full circle. After over 10 years of performing and teaching and through my own struggles with vocal health, I came to realise that I didn’t need to live, sleep and breathe singing in order to enjoy it; that singing is part of the journey and not the journey itself.

I am delighted to be back home and teaching in the Midlands, where I first started my singing journey. I hope to inspire others to share that same passion.

Upcoming performances

From Mozart's Le Nozze di Figaro. Singer: Pascal Kennedy | Piano: Adam McDonagh
